
Paniz Farrokhsiar
Paniz Farrokhsiar is a computational designer and researcher specializing in the integration of architecture, technology, and digital fabrication. As Director of Design Automation at X-Hab 3D, she leads the development of generative design software for robotic concrete 3D printing (3DCP), aligning computational workflows with the demands of large-scale, expeditionary construction.
Paniz holds a Master’s in Computational Design from Penn State University and a Bachelor’s in Architectural Engineering from the University of Tehran. Currently a Ph.D. candidate in Computational Design at Penn State University, Paniz’s research focuses on advancing 3DCP for architectural applications in housing and extreme environments. Her cross-disciplinary expertise spans design automation, modular systems, and digital-to-physical fabrication, with a portfolio ranging from architectural pavilions to award-winning urban furniture.
